Turnitin Named Finalist by Return on Education Innovation Awards
Program for providing feedback to students recognized as highly innovative technology in Teacher Support category
OAKLAND, Calif. (April 11, 2013) -- Turnitin, the leader in originality checking and online grading, was named a finalist for the Return on Education (ROE) Innovation Award sponsored by Arizona State University, the Clayton Christensen Institute and GSV Advisors. Turnitin was chosen in the Teacher Support category based on its ability to dramatically improve learning outcomes, provide substantial leverage to educators, significantly increase access and/or greatly reduce costs for educational institutions. Additional consideration was given for scale and sustainability achieved by a highly innovative approach.
“We’re honored to be named a finalist along with some of the leading names in educational technology,” said Chris Caren, CEO at Turnitin. “Whether it’s providing an originality report, leaving a voice comment, or grading with a rubric, educators recognize Turnitin as the best solution for providing the comprehensive feedback needed to engage students and improve writing skills.”
Winners will be announced at the ASU GSV Education Innovation Summit awards dinner on Wednesday, April 17th.
