Turnitin Hosts “Student Success Week” Oct. 28-Nov. 1
Virtual conference to examine impact of feedback on student success with theme "Moving Feedback Forward"
OAKLAND, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2013) -- Turnitin, the leader in originality checking and online grading, today announced Student Success Week, October 28 through November 1, with a series of free webcasts to explore the implications of feedback on student success. The series will kick off on Monday, October 28 with a keynote address by the President of Authentic Education, Grant Wiggins, on "The State of Feedback Under the Common Core."
Educators worldwide responded to Turnitin's call for proposals and submitted presentation topics for consideration on the impact of using web-based tools to provide feedback and improve student success. An internal Turnitin committee selected the presenters for the daily conference webcasts.

Organic Feedback: Growing through Consistent Adjustments with Stephanie Lewin-Hardy, Kean University.
Aligned Assessments: Effective Formative Assessments to Meet Common Core Standards with Nancy Doorey, K-12 Center at ETS.
Data-Driven Decisions: Using Rubrics for Programmatic Assessments with Elizabeth Jones, Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Office Hours: Students Share Successful Feedback Tips with a panel of students from University of California, Berkeley.
